$1,650 per person/Deposit $400

Guest wildlife biologist and bald eagle expert Bob Anthony will join us on our June 4–10 Copper River raft trip, where he will provide interpretation on the majestic bald eagles that are found in abundance along the Copper River corridor in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve.

Unit leader and professor of wildlife ecology at the Oregon Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit, in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Anthony has considerable experience with endangered and sensitive bird and mammal species in the Pacific Northwest. He has also studied birds of prey and environmental contaminants in western North America.

Central to his research are mammal community structure, demographic rates, population status, critical habitat, and conservation of forested and grassland ecosystems.

Anthony is the author of “Mammal Community Dynamics: Management and Conservation in the Coniferous forests of Western North America” (Cambridge University Press, New York, NY, 2003).
