ABOUT THE GALLERY... SINCE 1982, the University of Idaho Prichard Art Gallery has provided the community with a full spectrum of visual arts experiences through the presentation of exhibits, related educational programming and outreach activities.
Located in downtown Moscow, the gallery serves over 17,000 visitors annually including approximately 2,200 children and youth from area and regional schools who participate in the gallery docent program.
The Prichard Art Gallery is dedicated to providing cultural enrichment for its many constituent groups including contemporary artists from the Pacific Northwest, North America and beyond who have to opportunity to present new work in this versatile and well-respected venue.
A CRITICAL NEED… With state funding continuing to decline and gallery needs to develop new streams of external funding sources to maintain current levels of programming. Sundog Expeditions is pleased to support the Prichard Art Gallery, which contributes so significantly to the cultural vitality of our community.
HOW YOU CAN HELP… Join Sundog Expeditions on the Salmon River with gallery director Roger Rowley, UI emeritus professor of art George Wray and UI art alumnus and Sundog co-owner Lonnie Hutson for five days of fun in the sun, rafting the Salmon River, to support the Prichard Art Gallery. 25% of each trip price will be donated by Sundog Expeditions back to the gallery to support future programming.
A Special Bonus! Drawing and Photography on the River… And what could be more fun than drawing with artist and teacher extraordinaire George Wray and getting creative with your camera with Roger Rowley, who in addition to managing the Prichard Gallery is also a professional photographer. It doesn’t matter if you have any experience or not, this spectacular river canyon will inspire your inner artist
Sundog Expeditions will provide basic drawing supplies or you can bring your own. A suggested supply list will be included with your trip information. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras.
